Rebecca Grant de Longueuil

Early Artistic Journey

Rebecca’s artistic journey began under the guidance of her grandfather in the foothills of the Pyrenees. After returning to her hometown in Nottingham, she sold her artwork on the streets while launching her career as an actress on stage and screen. As her performing career flourished, so did her art, gaining recognition from collectors worldwide. Remarkably, Rebecca received an award from Princess Alexandra at age 14 and another from King Charles through the Prince’s Trust at 16,shortly after recovering from a life-threatening coma.

Artistic Style and Influences

Rebecca’s art is a vibrant reflection of her multicultural background, blending bold hues with elements of illustration, Impressionism, and Cubism. Her «Set Sail Collection,» inspired by the pandemic, encourages resilience, symbolizing the ability to navigate through life’s storms towards brighter horizons. Many buyers find that her paintings resonate with pivotal moments in their lives. The «Koi Fish Collection,» another bestseller, was created to bring harmony and unity after challenging times.

Fashion and Cultural Heritage

Rebecca’s desire to print her unique koi and ship paintings on fabric stemmed from her deep-rooted connection to showbusiness and dance. Growing up as a professional dancer, her mother crafted all the costumes for their dance school shows, creating a magical world of physical expression and storytelling. Rebecca fondly recalls her childhood filled with diverse costumes representing various cultures, from Thai dancers to Persian and Philippine dancers.

Fashion Debut: A Cultural Fusion

Rebecca’s fashion debut at FRONT ROW is a celebration of her multicultural heritage. Each outfit in her collection is named after one of her paintings, allowing the wearer to embody the drama, power, and peace of her art. The long, tailor-made skirts are influenced by her bohemian upbringing, featuring African and flamenco-inspired cuts. Silk headscarves reflect 1950s influences, while silk scarves and sarongs capture the essence of her Philippine island roots. Rebecca sees her fashion line as a way to bring unity, fun, and peace to life, with a look that is both sleek and majestic.
